The beautiful countryside where warfare would be held
Corporal Koops
The men begin to get excited
The intensity of the previous night was nothing compared to what was in store
I wish I had been up against tubby in the background there
James shot me in the chest at point blank range an hour before this photo was taken. Little did he know I would be shooting him at point blank in the back of the head in ten minutes time.
A Young fella asked me if I could draw picture that he could use to break up with his girlfriend. I don't normally use my drawing gifts for evil but the guy had money. I channeled my power into this:
Then it turned out I hadn't been listening properly and he actually wanted a picture that his friend could use to break up with his girlfriend. He took the above picture though in case he got a girlfriend he could use it on. Once again the jangle of coins spoke to me and I focused my drawing hand to conduct the magic needed for the following image:
It's not all about the money. I do it because I care.
At a few cons I've tried doing some drawing exercises during downtime. This weekend at Armageddon in Melbourne I tried drawing 100 different characters over the course of a day. Some of them are not really characters and some are variations on variations but I got a few goodies in there. More drawing than thinking going on. A few attendees gave suggestions including a few excellent ones from two young fella's Lucca and Darcy. Some of this stuff might be a little blacker than my typical humour as I mentioned before not much thinking going on.
Recent Book launch in Auckland was a lot of fun, had a nice little crowd turn up to check out my strips and hear some cranking tunes from Stress Cadet, Golden Axe and Megaheroes. Mega thanks to Nigel and Sophie for hosting the event at their Book Shop/Gallery/Venue, The High Seas.
Here's a few pics including some yoinked from Throwshapes and Einstein Music Blog.
Stress Cadet also had a debut screening of their new video clip for the song 'Build a Hole'. I hung out with the cadets as they played around with analogue video equipment on the day of the launch. These guys are mad scientists!!
A couple weeks ago some metal stands turned up on the footpath outside my place. I had no idea where they came from but guessed soemone had dumped them there. Recently I saw a bloke walking towards my place from the across the road neighbours with a metal stand. I was on my way out but when I returned this was waiting for me:
The across the road neighbours are bringing their junk and leaving it outside my place rather than their own! I mentioned it to my housemates and they thought it was me pulling junk out of my Tardis room. Damn it all! Later that night I enlisted the help of a local ninja and I dumped it back on their driveway. I'd love to have seen their faces when they realised their sneaky plan had been foiled!
