Cover to a little comic I did with Karl Smith a few years back. Karl inked the cover and Matt Scheurich did a fab job on the colours. I really wanna get back to these characters and do something in the vein of my take on serial adventures by Uncle Scrooge creator Carl Barks but wont have time until very late this year. Everyone loved Niggy, but then how could you not?
For the last year I've lived in Melbourne the ghetto apartments behind this fence have been vacant and boarded up. It seems like a really long time for a large bit of land to not be used for anything. It's sad too when everyday on my way to work I see people sleeping on milk crates in ATM lobbies trying to shelter from the cold when this space is just being used for nothing.
Spent the weekend at the Doujicon event here in Melbourne plying my wares. Met and chatted with some nice folk. Picked up some cool new comics from local cats, and got to hang with a few good folk in the local scene. On the downside the hall was cold and dark and access was through a long labyrinth of stairs and corridors with bridges etc and attendance was way down on last year.
I did get a lot of inspiration for new projects and I should have some new ideas up here soon.
